Product Description

Transparent nylon is characterized by good light transmittance, up to 90%. Its transparency is better than polycarbonate, close to polymethyl methacrylate. It is a self-extinguishing material with an oxygen index of 26.8. The water absorption rate of transparent nylon is 0.41%, which is lower than nylon 6 and nylon 66, and this water absorption almost does not affect its mechanical and electrical properties. However, it becomes turbid in boiling water, which is proved by electron microscope to be due to the filling of the pores of the polymer surface with water, not to the appearance of crystals.
